Electric Vehicle Charging

Electric vehicle charger installation in north west England

Electric vehicle charger installation is becoming more popular with homeowners, developers, and businesses across north west England. Electric vehicles (EVs) allow you to make your road travel cheaper and greener. Waddicar Electrical works with architects, developers, business owners, fleet managers and homeowners. We are happy to instal one or 100 EV charging points to help you and the country achieve environmental targets.

EV charging for homeowners

All vehicles that have been approved as ultra-low emission by the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) are eligible for the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS). The EVHS provides a 75% grant contribution to the cost of installing a charger point, capped at £350, including VAT. If you have two EVs you can apply for two grants. To qualify you will need to have a dedicated off-street parking space for each of your EVs (the maximum you can claim for is two). We can apply for the grant on your behalf and deduct it from your final invoice.
You could offer ‘free charging’ as an employee benefit, encouraging your team to own and use their EVs for work. If you own a shop or restaurant, you could attract customers by offering them cheap or free charging while they are with you.

EV charging for businesses

The government offers tax benefits to businesses that use EVs. To take full advantage of the lower running costs for EVs you’ll need fast, effective charging and the government also offers subsidies for installing chargers. Although the national EV charging network is growing, charging your vehicles while they are on-site and overnight is an effective way to make the best use of them.
